Praia, Cabo Verde, June 19, 2024 – Approximately two dozen students from the University of Cabo Verde, graduating in International Relations and Diplomacy, recently visited the ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) to gain a deeper understanding of the role ECOWAS plays in regional integration and the Centre’s efforts in promoting sustainable energy across member states.
During their visit, the students were greeted by some staff of ECREEE, accompanied by the Resident Representative of the President of the ECOWAS Commission in Cabo Verde, Dr. Samuel Lamptey. Dr. Claudino Mendes, delivered a presentation on behalf of the Executive Director, Francis Sempore, providing a comprehensive overview of ECREEE’s activities, focusing on the Centre’s mission to foster sustainable energy development within the ECOWAS region.
