Strategic Plan

Highlights

ECREEE Strategic Plan 2023-2027 is aligned with the ECOWAS Vision 2050 and the 4×4 Strategic Objectives of the ECOWAS Commission Management. ECREEE’s Strategic Plan 2023 to 2027 articulates a vision to be the primary facilitator of universal access to reliable and affordable modern energy across ECOWAS Member States. The plan underscores its commitment to building institutional strength, improving program implementation, fostering partnerships, and ensuring social and environmental responsibility, all aligned with its vision of universal access to modern energy in the ECOWAS region.

Recognizing its role in RE and EE development, ECREEE is committed to addressing social and environmental concerns associated with RE and EE development. Initiatives will specifically target concrete project development with emphasis on gender and youth and minimizing environmental impacts.

The success of the strategic plan relies on effective collaboration with stakeholders involved in sustainable energy promotion.
