Third certification exam for off-grid residential solar PV systems technicians in Senegal

The ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) organized the third regional certification exam for off-grid residential solar PV systems technicians (level 1) from April 14 to 16, 2025 in Dakar, Senegal, in partnership with the Polytechnic Superior School (ESP) of Dakar as Examination Centre, and the National Renewable Energy Agency (ANER), representing the National Focal Institution for the ECOWAS Sustainable Energy Competence Certification process.

A total of 32 professionals took part in the exam, with a pass rate of one-third, 45% of whom were women.

Deliberation of the exam results took place under the supervision of a dedicated national committee made up of representatives from the National Renewable Energy Agency (APER), the Senegalese Rural Electrification Agency (ASER), the Senegalese Council of Employers for Renewable Energy (COPERES), the Senegalese Standards Association (ASN) and the Senegalese National Electricity Company (SENELEC).
