Obituary Notice

It is with deep sorrow that the ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) announces the passing of Mr. Marcel FLAN, Renewable Energy Advisor for the program “Promotion of a Climate-Friendly Electricity Market in the ECOWAS Region – GIZ/ProMERC,” on January 5, 2025, in Dakar, Senegal.

ECREEE extends its heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family and to the entire team of the GIZ/ProMERC program.

The loss of Mr. Marcel FLAN leaves an irreplaceable void within ECREEE. He will be forever remembered for his exceptional professionalism, extensive expertise, and unwavering commitment to advancing sustainable energy across West Africa.
