Praia – September 27, 2023 – The ECOWAS Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) and the Francophone Institute for Sustainable Development (IFDD) in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy and the Center for Renewable Energy and Industrial Maintenance (CERMI) of Cabo Verde, launched a two weeks “training in energy policy and economics: issues, analysis of the energy situation and prospects”. The training organized in partnership with ENDA will be taking place in CERMI from September 27th to October 11th, 2023.
The main purpose of this training is to provide players in the energy sector with the tools they need to build coherent and effective policies and ensure their successful implementation.
This training brings together nearly forty participants from the public administration, regional organizations, electricity companies, private sector, non-governmental organizations and professional associations working in the energy sector from more than a dozen countries in Africa.
The opening ceremony was marked by interventions from Mr. Gilson Correia, President of CERMI, Mr. Kouakou Alexis Kouassi, Director of Operations of ECREEE, Mr. Romaric Segla, Program Specialist at the f IFDD and Mr. William Rodrigues, representing the National Director of Energy of the Ministry of Energy of Cape Verde.
