The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), in collaboration with the ECOWAS Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Energy (MICE) of Cape Verde, implemented the GEF project Cape Verde IV, entitled “ Market Promotion of Small and Medium Renewable Energy Systems in Cape Verde ”.
The project’s primary objective is to reduce Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions by creating market conditions favorable to the implementation of small and medium-sized renewable energy projects in Cape Verde, through the implementation of four (04 ) essential components of the project, such as:
- Implementation of demonstration projects to demonstrate the technical and economic viability of small and medium-sized renewable projects in Cape Verde;
- Creation and implementation of strategies that promote investments in small and medium-sized renewable energy systems;
- Strengthening and consolidating legal and regulatory frameworks that promote investments in renewable energy;
- Training and awareness;
- Implementation and follow-up
In this context, the aim is to independently evaluate the 10 (ten) demonstration projects implemented in 9 different installation locations, with the objective of independently collecting technical information on the demonstrated demonstration projects implemented, writing reports and public presentation of their respective operating/conservation states, constraints, sustainability, impact and lessons learned.
Therefore, proposals, technical and financial, must be sent to tend[a]ecreee.org by October 22, 2019, indicating the name of the project “ ECREEE Proposal Technical Assessment of Projects” in the subject of the email. For any clarification or information, please contact the project manager, Mr. Eder Semedo via email at esemedo[a]ecreee.org
