Bonn Symposium 2010

Bonn symposium 2010 “New Energy Sources – New conflicts?”, focusing on Rules and Strategies for a Global Access to Renewable Energies, is organized by the Development and Peace Foundation (SEF) in cooperation with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) and supported by Stiftung Haus der Geschichte der Bundesrepublik Deutschalnd and Deutsche Welle, Bonn. The Symposium is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF),the State of North Rhine-Westphalia under the programme “Regional Competitiveness and Employment”,the City of Bonn, the Foundation for International Dialogue of the Savings Bank in Bonn and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

The aim of the symposium is to address the question of rules and strategies for a fair and sustainable energy supply. It also provides a forum for detailed analysis of development policy and conflict issues. It is expected to bring together high level officials from the International community comprising of policy makers, representatives of national and regional bodies, international organizations, business and research institutions, civil society groups etc.
