24 CANDIDATES FROM THE REPUBLIC OF BENIN CERTIFIED BY THE ECSES EXAM COMMITTEE

The ECOWAS Certification of Sustainable Energy Skills ECSES Committee has validated and approved the examination results conducted in Cotonou, Republic of Benin from the 8TH to 10Th of August 2021.  The Scheme is the West Africa’s foremost Regional Certification Body established by ECREEE for all ECOWAS member states with the support of EU, IRENA, GIZ and other partners. The Scheme aims to promote professional competency and quality assurance for the sustainable energy market by certifying sustainable energy professionals in the area of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency.

The scheme is part of a series of exams to be conducted in the region in order to promote professional competency in the area of sustainable Energy. These Candidates along with the others already certified in Senegal, Ghana and Nigeria will now be able to move across the ECOWAS region to apply their professional skills towards up scaling solar energy technology.

A total number of 44 candidates effectively participated in the exam, out of which 24 were confirmed successful , among which are two were female candidates, all thanks to the Deutsche Gesellschafür Internaonale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, for the financial support to all female candidates.
